Providing help or rescue to a person under danger or distress requires basically two major information regarding to the victim. The first major information is the location and the time of the emergency. The second one is the nature of the emergency as well as the current situation of the victim. Today this is done with a 911 call. In large disasters like the Japanese earthquake and Tsunami disaster of 2011 and in all the major earthquakes the number of simultaneous 911 calls can be very large enough to overwhelm the emergency call center. After the Japanese earthquake and Tsunami disaster of 2011 OEA International, Inc. decided to establish a “emergency sms” system in a personal scale to help any one in any kind of an emergency condition any where in the world! It was perfected during the earthquake disaster in Eastern Turkey in 2011 and tested over 84 countries for more than a year.

It is a user generated emergency cell phone directory which contains only emergency contacts. In an emergency situation all of the contacts will receive an “emergency text”. The directory can also contain email addresses which will receive an “emergency email”.

With a single action the victim can select one of 9 types of emergencies like Medical, Earthquake, Hazmat, Hurricane, Tsunami, Police, Fire, Flood and Explosion, all displayed with their international symbols on the touch screen.

There is a text space where the victim can write any length of additional information to describe the emergency situation which is useful for the rescue operation. Like “under the ruble, right arm broken in great pain my pulse is 185.”

It is useful for the rescue team to know some personal medical information about the victim like the weight, height, blood type any particular health condition. If the user wishes, fills an interactive form to be saved and appended to all “emergency sms’s”.

The “emergency sms” will be displayed before it is sent and the victim can cancel or approve it by a single button and it will be sent to all emergency contacts with the GPS coordinates and the time of emergency.

As is explained till now GPSHelpME! provides very easy and quick way of relaying the vital information related to any kind of emergency by any one like an elderly person, child, person with very poor health condition or even a very healthy person facing an emergency any where.

When the “emergency sms” is recieved GPSHelpME! Gives the following information in addition to the text,

➤ The victim’s location will be displayed on the map with the distance and bearing seconds after it is received.

➤ Some rescue operations require day light and if it is to be carried out at night it is useful to know the phase of the moon and its elevation angle at the victim location at time of the emergency. GPSHelpME! superimposes OEA Compass dial which is a very unique analog compass dial which provides more than 24 astronomical data related to the victim’s location at the time of emergency.

➤ So it is like a time machine, it reconstructs the sun and moon elevation information and superimposes on the map showing the victim’s location at the emergency contact.

➤ If the receiving party has GPSHelpME! set at a language setting different than the victims language setting, the type of emergency and the personal information will be translated to the current language setting. This allows the victim to communicate the emergency situation with no language boundaries, great for international travel! GPSHelpME! does this cross-translation for all 39 supported languages.

➤ For an outdoors or wilderness type of emergency navigation, mapping and tracking functions are not luxury, it is essential and is potentially life saving. GPSHelpME! have advanced global mapping functions complemented with distance and bearing calculation capabilities to any where on earth.
